Tyre wahala

I went out one evening to fix/change the car tyre with my husband. We went to one fuel station (the alignment shop) we asked if they had tyres as the advert showed, he said yes brought the tyre and we settled on the price. He proceeded to fix it and that was when I lost my head. He had no clue what he as doing, he was guessing and my husband had to assist,eventually an elderly man that works there came to help.
He succeeded in putting the tyre on the realm, he was about to put air in the tyre when my husband mentioned that the valve was shaking. The quick fix guy quickly interjected by saying it was fine and when the elderly man looked at it he said it was bad. The man instructed they change and the I realised that my day/night has just began. He quickly went to look for valve and came back with one. Unfortunately it was for a bigger tyre. Now i was angry. After much trial and error, he decided to take the half finished work to a vulcaniser who salvaged the shady job.
When he was gone I asked the elderly man why the quick fix vulcaniser doesn't know his job. He told me that the guy is a mechanic not a vulcaniser, and that all of them are mechanics, he went further to tell me that the vulcanisers didn't come to work on that particular day.
Tyre wahala, why didn't the quick fix mechanic sell me the tyre and suggest I go somewhere to fix it.
