Cheers to my freaky week/weekend!!!

Alright, I was away for a while because I travelled and couldn't find network for calls let alone Internet. My trip was fun. When I boarded the plane I thought I was ready for the trip but believe me when the plane took off and the pressure Made me feel like my ears will burst, I began to beg for help. That was more of the introduction to the rest of my trip.
When we landed and I saw the so called international Airport in my present location,i started to laugh. Glad to be on ground we proceeded to arrival and waited to pick up our luggage. Mehn, I think it's in our nature as Nigerians to drag wherever we are and for whatever we want, be it on the road or otherwise. Immediately I got to the belt I saw my box coming out, the spaces close to the belt was all full of other passengers waiting to collect their luggage,so I had to ask a beautifully dressed lady close to the belt to please move over for a minute so i could pick up my suitcase, since it was already on the belt. she told me she is also waiting for her box that she isn't moving. I looked at her in disbelief and asked the guy next to her and he quickly moved and I grabbed my box and moved away. I hope she felt stupid because she seriously gave me something to think about.
I got to my destination, finished what I came to do there, joined my husband and journeyed to another location. Minus the awesomely beautiful(horrible) road, the journey was sweet. We got to our second location safely, after visiting with friends and family we left for the hotel that was reserved for us. This hotel was beautiful, I fell in love secretly while I tried to make them know I was a Madame. I enjoyed my stay, and I felt the customer service was wonderful.
After a night spent here we journeyed again to our third location. The journey was sweet and awesome. We got to newly intended location on time and visited a place or two and then finally decided it was time to rest. Before now we where told that our hotel reservation was in the best hotel they had and I was elated. In fact I couldn't wait to get their, have a hot bath and sprawl on the bed. When we got there, I understood what my friend meant when she said that  "it is better to expect nothing so you are never disappointed"
We got to this hotel that my husband now calls "hotel Casablanca", we drove in and met darkness. It was a blow, and it certainly hit me below the belt. Every one in the family that was supposedly lodged in this hotel took a mood swing. My husband and his uncle got down and didn't find anyone in the reception,  after walking around they saw two topless men seated and asked them who was in charge, and they said they are, the next questions flew out non stop as everyone had something to ask. These men where confused and switched to their local dialect which everyone that knew how to speak in such followed them. They further asked them why the hotel was not powered,  they gave a flimsy answered which my husband's uncle countered and ordered they powered the hotel since we have practically payed for all the rooms they have in their hotel.
They refused to obey and an argument ensued, finally we won and they powered the hotel. I was glad that finally I will put my back down, it was already 8pm and my toddler hadn't eaten. I stepped down and decided to unpack the boot, my husband asked me to stop since they needed to check out the rooms. I started to cry, I couldn't take it anymore, my toddler was cranky and hungry and the bloody accommodation wasn't sorted.
After the rooms where cleared, I got into the room and found it difficult to settle in. I was surprised when I walked into the hotel and realised that the hallway had no bulbs and to get assistance you have to walk out of the hotel into down to where we saw the topless men, and ask for help. I walked into the room and saw the bed, it was the size of the bed that is used in secondary school boarding house, I started to weep again, To think I will spend two nights mehn!. My husband consoled me and asked me to settle in while he goes down to help the other guests settle in. I finally caught some sleep at about 1am That night and still woke up early because I was uncomfortable
The next night after the event was a horror. We got back to the hotel and met another blackout, we asked the problem was since we new that their was power by PHCN. They assured us they where working on it and toll the next morning, their wasn't light or hot water.
I was glad to leave the hotel and head for the airport the next day. It was me and the entire extended family, I was glad when we boarded the aircraft and headed back home. It was an uneventful flight until to 15mins to landing when the plane started doing stunts. Their was turbulence and the plane was beginning to drop we all started to pray because a whole generation was on board.
You can imagine the relief when we landed, picked our luggage, got a cab and headed home.
Thank God for safety, but it sure was a freaky week/ weekend, and I am yet to get over it.
