I love fashion, but I never follow the trend. When it comes
to fashion I just want to be comfortable in whatever I wear or accessorize myself
in. I don’t do some outrageously bright colours and I won’t were some ridiculously
tight clothes. The good thing about being a fashion lover is that I am not a
sucker for trending. I make sure that my baby, my man and my humble self stand
out whenever we go out or have need to be seen.
I will like to define fashion as a
circle (360 degrees). It starts from a point and returns to that point after a
couple of seasons it could be altered along the line but you can always tell. Don’t
get me wrong, it is good to follow trends, but bear in mind that it is an
expensive venture. Lets talk about colour blocking;
COLOUR
BLOCKING:
This means wearing blocks of colour. . This is what we do naturally when we get dressed, but the trend of this age is an exaggerated version of what we do normally. To have the colour blocking look that we desire, we need to go for bright and bold colours. There are definitely some rules to follow when getting dressed:
Stick to 2 or 3 colours
maximum. Anything more than can lead to the “war of colours”. It is advisable to
have a colour wheel handy so that blending your block of bright and bold colours
will be easy and turn out lovely. You can learn how to use the wheel here.
Make it loud, let the colours
shout out, but please don’t overdo it, lest you look like an over decorated Christmas
tree.
Keep it simple. It always looks
better when neutral colours are used to accessorize.
It is very easy to say all this about dressing, but before i leave this untouched, i will like to add that when you are putting your block of colours together, always remember your skin tone.
Enjoy your weekend
