In My Days.

I was driving on friday when a song boomed from my car radio it was a combination of songs we sang when we where young, games we played and all the things that made us children, that got me thinking...
When i was a child/teenager, i can clearly remember that their was a clear distinction between adults and children, even in clothing and otherwise, untile we where 15 if not 16, we wore cinderella clothing, you definetly didn't have a choice. Even when you are sewing a traditional dress, it is sewn with a statment, " DO NOT BE DECIEVED, I AM A CHILD", then it was cool.
In this day, you see a 12/14yr old in shorts, clingy top, heels and make up. The worst thing is that she has RED lipstick on. When we started making up in my time, we were scared of red lipstick, cos it was a statement for the adult, but now they care less.
In my days, we used to be shy. We didn't lead the conversation or anything else, now being shy is a taboo.
In my days if you where given a thousand Naira to spend on your friends, you will be tagged a big girl/Boy, but now, if you give your sibling 10k, they tell you that it is small. yes i agree, money has no value, but i dont think it has deteriorated to this.
In my days we wrote letters, today Blackberry is a small phone excpet it Bold 5 or an ipad etc....
I do not know what else to say except that " I miss my good old days"
