ABUSE MY ORGANS

In our country we are faced with different problem, Terrorism, armed robbery, Domestic violence etc. I have never been known to thrive on negativity, but this is something I must say.
We try to address most of this little problems and forget SUBSTANCE ABUSE.

WHAT IS SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Substance abuse can simply be defined as a pattern of harmful use of any substance for mood-altering purposes. Medline's medical encyclopaedia defines drug abuse as "the use of illicit drugs or the abuse of prescription or over-the-counter drugs for purposes other than those for which they are indicated or in a manner or in quantities other than directed." But now we also know that its not only drugs that are abused but any substance that can alter the mood

Our generation now and yet to come are warming up into the arms of substances that they shouldn't ordinarily have access to and nothing is being done to stop them. We don't even have rehabilitation centres that we can say please send them to. They do not even know how to control how they feel now talk more of when they re in withdrawal.
One morning, I boarded the bus that was being loaded and sat quietly. when the bus took off, the actual bus conductor surfaced. Another passenger noted that the driver was drunk and I brushed it away. When we got to the first bus stop I noticed that the conductor couldn't stand straight without support. I was really surprised because it was 7 am in the morning. I thought to myself this guy needs to be in rehabilitation.
He isn't the only one that drowns himself in something to mask what he is going. I see people that freely smoke stuff and start to fall heaven or people drink over the weekend and can't open their eyes on Monday.
Its alarming at the rate that both male and Female abuse this substances. The age restriction don't apply any more.
No body seems to care, when you try to tell them about the long term damage, they tell you that 50 is a long time to leave. It is becoming fashionable to drink and smoke with friends.
Becoming addicted is easy and smooth but kicking the habit takes more. We need to gradually advocate to stop abuse.
Love You All.
