Since my toddler learnt this word, she has continued to say it. It has been a timely thing for her, she says it when she is surprised at what you do and sometimes out of no where.
My own NA WA na for Nigerian drivers oooo, is it because my car is small that all this big jeeps want me to carry it on my head and leave the road for them let them pass. The fact i don't have big engine capacity cars, no be my fault ooo. Its so annoying when all those cars with fluorescent light decides to blind me in the night, flashing me seriously that i will start wondering if my car is okay, if my car tyre has burst and i didn't know. Exactly what do they want from me. Maybe i should start begging the government to build road for small cars.
Today if it was possible to come down from my car and mix my brown powder in water and pour it on the windscreen of a pajero jeep i would have done it. I was on my way to work, when the rains began. It became a very heavy downpour and i turned my headlamps on, put my double pointer on and quietly/ gently took the road since i couldn't see. I continued this way from my estate until i got on Ikorodu road. Obviously i wasn't the only one that wasn't seeing, and i also wasn't the only one avoiding the puddles. I followed on enjoying the rain on my screen when one annoying car with fluorescent light started flashing me and i was wondering exactly what he wanted, because their wasn't any way to my front. He started to act like he was high on something so i slowed my car and he drove past with a speed that should take him to Benin in a matter of seconds. Miraculously he slowed in front of me and joined the slow cruise. I hissed and continued my journey behind my florescent friend because he couldn't move faster than our leaders.
Couple of Seconds later, the pajero jeep started his madness he started flashing me like crazy and i didn't know what to do for him. I decided not to slow down because i didn't see the need. I just continued, and he decided to squeeze between two cars on ikorodu road i just watched the madness and people decided to slow down to see if he can pass. i continued to watch from my mirror's. The more i watched, the angrier i got. Finally he realised that he couldn't continue and he slowed down and settled. At this point my anger had reached its boiling point.
Na wa oooo, i really support that all drivers in Lagos be checked especially psychiatric checks including myself seriously. The madness we exhibit when we are behind the wheel is something else. I have witnessed ghastly accidents at Lekki toll gate, all because two well dressed car drivers, driving beautiful heavy cars are trying to squeeze through the toll gate at one not noticing the sign " One car per barrier Opening" Haba.
